MacGregor's 5 generation Pusnes bow loading system
The Pusnes bow loading system from MacGregor enables a shuttle tanker to safely and efficient load oil from an offshore production or storage facility.
The 5 generation bow loading system from MacGregor is developed based on the proven 4 generation. Hose connection angles are increased up to 110 degree which is 50 degree more the the 4 generation. Availability during hose connection is improved and loading sector is increased. In addition the bow door solutions is optimised.

GPE Marine Loading Arm Animation - Offshore Animation
Marine loading arms (MLA) are mechanical structures that facilitate the transfer of liquid substances or liquefied gasses from one tank to another. Marine loading arms consist of several components, including a base swivel, a pipe, and a loading arm. The base swivel connects the arm to the jetty, allowing it to rotate in any direction. The pipe, usually made of stainless steel, connects the arm to the storage tank or the ship. They can be described as a pipe system that includes both rigid pipes and swivel joints that help articulate the system.
A common configuration includes three pipes: inner arm, outer arm and drop pipe, all of them connected by swivel joints. Additionally, they can be mounted on plates attached to a wall or mounted on a column. As piping is often made of heavyweight m...

How Offshore Oilrigs Work, Float, and Extract Oil
Offshore drilling is the process of extracting petroleum from reserves located beneath the Earth's oceans instead of reserves located on the mainland. Offshore oil rigs have developed greatly over the past years, and have become gigantic structures that house hundreds of people at a time.

Offshore module transport and load-out, Thailand-Norway
The construction of a new offshore platform was divided between Thailand and Norway. The two sections needed to be brought together, then the 12,000t deck loaded-out. A solution was needed for the final SPMT transport from the construction hall as the quay was too short. Mammoet transported the 6,000t Thailand module 18,000km, mated the two sections, and loaded-out the platform onto an installation barge.
Mammoet operated in two locations simultaneously and completed the project in six weeks. Located in the North Sea off the coast of Norway, the Gudrun oil and gas field's reserves are estimated to be 184 million barrels of oil equivalent.

Offshore Subsea system: STL pick, connection and disconnection Animation
The Submerged Turret Loading (STL) system represents state-of-the-art technology within offshore loading. STL technology offers a flexible, safe, and cost-effective solution for oil loading tankers (OLT) and floating storage and offloading (FSO) units.
STL basics
A buoy moored to the seabed is pulled in and secured in a mating cone in the vessel. The buoy incorporates a turret connected to the mooring and the riser(s). All STLs are based on standardized mating cone geometry in the vessel.
Permanent or disconnect mooring
The STL system can be designed for disconnect service (OLT or shuttles) or for permanent mooring throughout the field life (FSO). Disconnection takes only minutes and can be performed in any weather condition. The buoy drops clear of the vessel and floats in an equilibri...

This can be achieved by counterweight systems or spring balance cylinders. Today, loading arms are used across a number of industries, which include oil companies, mining sites or chemical manufactures, among many others. In this animation, you can see how marine loading arms are constructed.

The STL system is designed and produced by APL.
